Magnetic wants a Hadoop Developer
... with a keen eye toward scaling, someone who has a history of tackling interesting problems & finding elegant solutions will help bring our business to the next level. You’ll be working on the development and maintenance of a cluster used to process millions of daily impressions.
Working with our product team, you’ll design & develop Hadoop jobs to process & summarize key metrics as they flow thru the back-end system. You’ll build out our infrastructure to support our data collection & serving & customer facing systems. A sense of humor & play and an open mind along with innate technical curiosity are required.
Experience
Candidates should have a strong background in scaling data-intensive applications with Hadoop and Java. Expertise in managing Linux systems & integrating with SQL databases is desirable. Familiarity with Hive, HDFS & Ruby will help you standout as a candidate. Experience with ad networks is a plus.
